Know Before You Go

Mobile Network: Only Postpaid networks (JIO, Airtel, BSNL) are active in the region. Breakfast availability in the hotel on the last day totally depends on your departure timings.  It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 liters, as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.

Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc.

The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travelers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard 

Note: Altitudes, routes, and activities are subject to weather and road conditions. Acclimatization and warm clothing are essential.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization

Altitude: 11,600 ft  

Welcome to Leh, the vibrant capital of Ladakh, nestled in the Himalayas! After landing, a cab will transfer you to your accommodation. Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude. Unwind with leisurely walks and hydrate to adjust smoothly.

Day 2Leh Local Sightseeing

Altitude: 11,600 ft

Post breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Leh-Srinagar Highway (NH1), flanked by rugged mountains and army camps. Visit:

  • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: A revered Sikh shrine surrounded by stark peaks.
  • Magnetic Hill: Experience the optical illusion where vehicles appear to defy gravity.
  • Indus-Zanskar Confluence: Witness the striking merger of turquoise and emerald rivers.

Return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass

Altitude: 10,000 ft | Distance: 160 km | Duration: 5–6 hrs 

Journey to the Nubra Valley, traversing Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft), the world’s second-highest motorable pass. Descend into the surreal cold desert, where sand dunes meet snow-capped peaks. Opt for a Bactrian camel ride in Hunder (at an additional cost).

Day 4Nubra Valley to Turtuk Village & Back

Altitude: 9,850 ft | Distance: 196 km | Duration: 8–9 hrs

Explore Turtuk, a hidden gem near the Line of Control (LOC) that was part of Pakistan until 1971.

Wander through apricot orchards, interact with Balti villagers, and admire the Shyok River Valley’s raw beauty. Return to Nubra by evening.

Day 5Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso

Altitude: 14,000 ft | Distance: 160 km | Duration: 7–8 hrs

Brace for an adventurous drive to Pangong Lake via rugged trails along the Shyok River or Wari La Pass. Marvel at the lake’s ever-changing hues of blue set against stark mountains.

(If Pangong is closed, return to Leh and visit the lake the next day via SUV.)

Day 6Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La Pass

Distance: 160 km | Duration: 5–6 hrs

Return to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft), the world’s third-highest motorable pass. En route, visit the Druk White Lotus School (featured in 3 Idiots), renowned for its sustainable architecture.

Day 7Departure from Leh

After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, carrying memories of Ladakh’s majestic peaks, serene lakes, and timeless culture.
